Thaara (Malayalam: താര) is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language film written and directed by Dheshwin Prem, under the banners of Antonio Motion Pictures, and Close Shot Entertainments The film stars Anusree, who is favorable among family audience, plays the lead role of Sithaara in the film, which discuss the freedom spaces for women’s life. Actor Jude Antony, portrays the role of her husband in the movie. Jude’s role in ‘Thaara’ holds interesting elements unlike the other roles played by the actor.

The story unfolds through some unexpected events in the life of Sithaara who travels with taxi driver Siva, from Chennai to Kochi. Sanal Aman, who is notable for his role as Freddy in Malik, plays Siva.

‘Thaara’ which has wrapped up its shooting from Kochi, Chennai and Coimbatore is soon expected to have a direct OTT release.

The movie is produced by Jebin J B and Prabha Joseph While story and screenplay were done by the director himself, popular poet and writer Bineesh Puthuppanam, has penned the dialogues and songs for the movie.
